Susanne Kutter arbeitet mit verschiedenen künstlerischen Medien wie Installation, Performance, Skulptur, Fotografie und Video. Inhaltlich beschäftigt sie sich immer wieder mit dem teilweise katastrophalen Verhältnis von Natur und Kultur und dem Verlust von privater Sicherheit und Intimität im alltäglichen Leben. In diesem Zusammenhang reflektiert sie auch die Entwicklung der Rolle der Frau in der westlichen Gesellschaft und den fortschreitenden Verlust einer bürgerlichen Mittelschicht, die von Werten wie Kultur und Bildung geprägt wurde.

Susanne Kutter works across a variety of different media and formats, including installation, performance, sculpture, photography and video. Her work is often concerned with the catastrophic relationship between nature and culture and the loss of safety and intimacy in everyday life. Within this context she reflects on the changing role of women in western societies and the increasing disappearence of the middle classes, traditionally associated with educational and cultural values.
